Downtown Blacksburg

In the Blacksburg area, the vast majority of residential properties become available for rent in the late July through early August timeframe. The "season" for these rentals is generally from February through May, and you should bear this in mind when contemplating house-hunting trips. Also, you may wish to be added to our waiting list for either specific properties or general groups of properties. We take applications (with a $25.00 application fee) for the following year beginning in September, and we contact our waiting list people first for our following year's availabilities beginning in early February when we know which ones will be available. Please contact us for details if you are interested in reserving a position on the waiting list. We contact applicants in order of the application receipt/payment date, so it is in your interest to apply early.

General Note: Some owners and/or homeowner's associations do not allow pets. If a pet is allowed, the additional security deposit is usually $500 per pet and there is additional rent to be paid monthly in the amount of $30 per pet (unless otherwise stated). There are also limitations on the number of pets allowed; some properties allow only one, and the general rule is a maximum of two. Usually, there are also weight limit restrictions.

NOTE: If pets are allowed in the property, the maximum number is two unless stated otherwise. Generally other restrictions also apply; we will not accept pit bulls, rottweilers, chows, Dobermans, or any mix thereof. Veterinary verification and office personnel review are required.

Other restrictions may apply and vary with properties. Some properties have occupational limitations and all properties are subject to applicable zoning ordinances to include but not limited to the number of occupants.
